The Rogue Electrics are an independent alternative blues-rock band and recording artist based out of Milwaukee Wisconsin. Our mission is to create a catalog of original music with a classic sound and put on quality live performances of those songs as a band.
We are huge fans of old school rock music and we couldn't easily find local bands playing accessible original music influenced by all of the timeless rock music we love. We took it upon ourselves to create that band that was missing for us in the scene as fans and we are fueled by hope and belief that we can connect with other music fans out there who are searching for the same thing.
The Rogue Electrics primary musical influences are heavily based in classic rock, alternative, and blues. The songs are structured like classic rock, the lyrics are written like alternative rock, and the instrumental sections are improvised using traditional blues based soloing techniques. When everything is put together you get a unique blues-rock sound that is reminiscent of the classics but re-imagined for today's rock fan.
The Rogue Electrics band name was inspired by lead singer Kyle Rogahn's family and their electrician business. Kyle's Grandpa, Dad, and Uncles ran a family business called Rogahn Electric. Kyle was never exposed to learning the trade. The band name is a tribute to Kyle's dad and family who were the ones that turned him onto all of the classic rock music that influenced the band. Naming the band The Rogue Electrics was a way for Kyle to carry on his family’s legacy while serving to be a symbol of the blue collar type workmanship required to make a good independent band. The logo design is based on the font style from the Rogahn Electric work jackets that the family wore on the job.
Recording
The Rogue Electrics have independently
produced and released two full length studio albums and 1 live album.
Performance
The band has 6+ years of regular performance experience in the greater Wisconsin area music scene headlining at many types of venues such as traditional clubs, breweries, beer gardens, bars, summer concert series, and music festivals. The Rogue Electrics played Summerfest in 2019. The band also opened for cover band Cherry Pie in 2023, proving that the original scene and the cover scene can co-exist.
